May Queen

Sage blooming

May Queen

19th May 2016

Oat bran sprinkled on pebbles

Quagmired thoughts sink in

Of lost earthen ware & time

Sage starts blooming in the wind

The bird house waits aground

Blue-tits cling to wires & walls

Stray seeds in Alice blue

Where ringdoves roam

Spread gently behind the sleepers

Empty lies the lair of quails

I save up my new pen

For enterprises Dutch delft

Blush pink carnation adorn

The clutter on the kitchen table

Tea beckons to be brewed in tins

The eight against cold

The “fishbone tea” of four

Lancelot plantain & Lady´s mantle
